The Metabolic Balance® Programme is a scientifically devised nutrition and hormone regulation programme based on 20 years of research by doctors and nutritionists.
Based on natural wholefoods, the programme aims to reset your metabolism and hormone levels, particularly insulin, in order to regulate fat storage.
Because of the food choices we make and eating too often our bodies may produce too much insulin which causes us to store fat and prevents us from burning fat for energy.
The tailor-made food plan, based on a blood test which analyses nearly 40 different components in the blood, together with your medical history form the heart of metabolic balance. This personalised food roadmap allows food and body chemistry to work together. Clients tell me that once they get going on the plan they find it easy to follow.
The twelve week Metabolic Balance® Programme has helped people to address all kinds of health issues including hypertension, high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, fatigue, rheumatism, psoriasis, allergies, menopausal symptoms amongst others. Clients often report that they are sleeping well and that their energy levels are greatly improved. Unlike many diets, fat is lost rather than lean muscle mass.
Having been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes four years previously JK came to Metabolic Balance at a time when she felt very low both physically and mentally. Initially the change in lifestyle took some adjusting to, "but, after a couple of weeks, I started to feel more energised, was sleeping better and the mood swings associated with my diabetes were gone. The programme includes three meals a day and there are eight simple rules to follow. Divided into four phases, the plan starts with a two day gentle cleanse to prepare you for the strict adjustment phase during which your body adjusts to eating only the foods on your personal food plan.
A more relaxed phase follows during which additional food items are added to your plan and clients often report a further increase in energy and wellbeing. The maintenance phase begins when your health and weight goals have been achieved.
